Next Phase of Multi-Million Dollar Village Expansion Continues For Winter Opening

Visitors to the Big Sky Mountain Village Plaza area will see a new building has taken shape between the Snowcrest and Huntley Lodge. Construction crews will continue with interior work through the summer with a goal of opening for the 2007-2008 winter season.

Big Sky Resort broke ground two summers ago on the first of several structures that will re-shape the core Mountain Village over the coming decade. Village Center One, which will enhance the current pedestrian plaza and expand the retail and dining options at Big Sky. This four-story building will offer innovative slopeside work/play entertainment suites.

Description

Big Sky Resort offers a wide choice of celebrations for the New Year including a special dinner dance with big band entertainment, a teen and children’s dance and a variety of music in the local bars. The fireworks display over the mountains highlights the evening.

All of these events take place in the Mountain Village of Big Sky Resort. Other activities are available including alpine skiing, sleigh rides dinners, snowshoeing, Nordic skiing, horseback riding, dog sledding and hot air balloon rides.

Directions

New Year’s Eve Fireworks Display and Celebration will be held at Huntley Lodge which is located 45 miles south of Bozeman on Highway 191. Turn at Big Sky entrance and go another 10 miles to the Mountain Village of Big Sky Resort. The Huntley Lodge and the Shoshone Condominium Hotel will be on the right hand side of the road.
