Big Sky Stables is the closest horse facility to Big Sky Ski & Summer Resort, at only 3 miles down hill we are the highest altitude horseback riding business in the Big Sky Area. In addition to hourly horseback riding, we also offer hayrides and trail rides with a steak cookout.
We are a horseback riding operation that has now expanded to serve visitors during the winter months by providing dinner sleigh rides.
We have approximately 35 available riding horses and teams of draft horses. We have quarter horses, paints and mustangs, as well as a team of Belgians, a team of Norwegian Fjords, and a team of Percherons.
You can take a trail ride from 1 hour up to all day. We are licensed by the US Forest Service, so we can take you into the Beehive Basin area or the North Fork Drainage.
If you visit during the winter months, come take a sleigh ride to a campsite of a true hunting camp. Kids are welcome and those 6 and under go free. We have easy scheduling so check us out. |
